Best Practices
Location Names
Use clear, recognizable names:
- ✅ "Williamsburg Studio - 123 Bedford Ave"
- ❌ "Location 1"
Pickup Instructions
Be specific and helpful:
- Include parking information
- Mention any access codes or procedures
- Provide a contact number for issues
Multiple Locations
If you have multiple locations:
- Keep names consistent
- Include neighborhood or area in the name
- Update hours for each location individually
Assigning Items to Locations
When you create product items, you'll select which rental option (location) each item belongs to. This helps you:
- Track where each item is stored
- Let customers know where to pick up
- Manage inventory across locations
See Create a Product Item for more details.
Common Questions
Can I have items at multiple locations?
Yes! Each individual item is assigned to one location, but you can have multiple items of the same product at different locations.
What if I move to a new location?
Edit the rental option with the new address. All items assigned to that option will automatically use the new location.
Can customers request delivery?
If you offer delivery, create a rental option named something like "Delivery" and include your delivery terms and area in the description.
